About UsLa Leche League Leaders are volunteer mothers. We have experience nursing our own children and have completed an accreditation program through La Leche League International to provide mother to mother support. Our group has been providing breastfeeding information and support to mothers in the Montgomery, AL area since 1984.

Our History |
La Leche League is an international, nonprofit, nonsectarian organization. LLL USA is a registered charity affiliated with La Leche League International - the world’s largest source of breastfeeding information—founded in 1956 in Franklin Park, Illinois, USA.
Through a network of accredited volunteer “Leaders,” LLLI has a presence in many countries around the world. Leaders have breastfed their own babies and been specially trained to help mothers with breastfeeding. Support is primarily given through monthly in person meetings, email and telephone contact. We are a non-profit organization and are funded solely through volunteer hours, contributing memberships and donations.
